LACCD: The Los Angeles Community College District
In 1998 Patrick was hired to advocate for the district. In addition to advocacy, he helped the district create a five-year strategic plan to revitalize itself, and assisted in the search for a chancellor, vice-chancellor, and two college presidents. McCallum Group continues to advocate for the district via legislation that provides more funding and more access for deserving students.

Despite strenuous opposition by the insurance/financial services industry, California educators now have fair access to this $380 billion financial services group’s no-load mutual funds via an award-winning, state-sponsored California State Teachers’ Retirement System website that offers a side-by-side comparison of all 403b providers.

EpiPen, Dey, Inc.
The EpiPen© is a portable device that makes a life-saving injection of epinephrine possible in the event of a severe allergic reaction. Thanks to the effective coalition building and strategic legislative advocacy by the McCallum Group, children with severe allergies can now carry and self-administer their EpiPens at school.

Peralta Community College District—Laney College
Gateway to College @ Laney
McCallum Group Inc. helped negotiate the exemption needed to allow the Peralta Community College District to partner with the Oakland Unified High School District
and fund the Gateway to College @ Laney program for at-risk youth who have dropped out of college.

Discounted Student Transportation Program
In an effort to increase student access to the respective colleges, reduce stress on the environment, and improve parking conditions for students and the neighbors surrounding the college, McCallum Group successfully advocated for a reduced-cost public transportation program for students of both Districts.
